Services

Our fleet of light air single engine aircraft, ground response vehicles, and NIMS (National Incident Management System) qualified staffs are positioned throughout Nebraska for quick response. Core services that Civil Air Patrol is trained and equipped to provide are:

SEARCH AND RESCUE

Civil Air Patrol conducts 90 percent of inland search and rescue in the U.S., as tasked by the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center and other agencies:

  • Locating overdue/missing aircraft and rendering rescue services when found
  • Augmenting public safety agency searches for missing persons including amber alerts
CIVIL EMERGENCY RESPONSE

In response to floods, earthquakes, and other natural or man-made disasters, provide damage assessment imagery, emergency tactical communications and transportation services in addition to basic search and rescue operations.

  • Geo-tagged digital imagery of damaged areas
  • Temporary interim tactical (VHF) communications network deployment
  • Transport of human blood, tissue or organs, equipment, passengers, or search dog teams
RECONNAISSANCE, TRACKING, SURVEYING

Provide reconnaissance and or geo-tagged aerial imagery of natural resource areas, critical infrastructure, and damage assessment and recovery. Examples of specific types of operations:

  • Drug Interdiction Support
  • Endangered Species Tracking
  • Environmental Monitoring and Response
  • Low Level Route Surveying
